Property Condition Assessment Raleigh, North Carolina
Property Condition Assessment Raleigh, North Carolina

When you need a reliable assessment of a multi-family or commercial property you intend to purchase, invest in, sell or insure in Raleigh, North Carolina, a Property Condition Assessment from Building Diagnostics Group can identify costly hidden damage or validate a sound investment.

What is a Property Condition Assessment?

A Property Condition Assessment (PCA), also referred to as a Commercial Building Inspection, involves research and interviews, a walk-through survey of the commercial property, a review of relevant documents, and developing a Property Condition Report (PCR) about the property’s physical condition.

The inspector visits the site and spends several hours or days doing a walk-through of the property and inspecting the building envelope, structural systems, HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing and more.

Our PCAs are performed to ASTM standards and can be customized for clients’ needs. A PCA may include a higher level of inquiry and inspection than the baseline described in the standards or, at the client’s discretion, may involve a lower level of inspection.

Because most commercial properties are more complex and have more systems and features than residential properties, it’s important to hire a company with extensive experience in the construction, maintenance and inspection of commercial buildings.

BDG often works with engineering firms during the due diligence process of an acquisition. We are typically the first to inspect the exterior of a property, providing insight about the overall condition and the need, if any, for additional services to complete the due diligence evaluation.
